After a week of festivities at the Sheraton Blue Lagoon, Nisha & Jiten's reception was held at the Dusit - right next to the Sheraton Blue Lagoon Resort. A classic hotel and venue for a couple with the discerning eye. The lush white decor with gorgeous white flowers and candle stands, a candle lit back-drop for the stage, a tall white wedding cake and winter wonderland blue mood lighting made for the perfect finale to one of the most fun weddings we have photographed and filmed over the past few years. With amazing performance from contemporary thai dancers dancing to bollywood songs beginning the evening, it only got better as the night progressed. Followed by a jaw dropping performance, full of energy, by Adnan Sami, who sang a rock version of his superhit song - Lift Kara De. And finally DJ Sharad Bhavnani & Marco made the guests groove to peppy dance numbers into the wee hours. Nisha's perfect off white dress with swarovskis, Jiten's classic black tuxedo, and a battery operated portable fan were perfect for glamour portraits, which we photographed 5 days before the wedding! Again kudos to Adam, Serge, Sasha & Dwiko for all the help and amazing work.

We are so excited to share with you the wedding gallery for Nisha & Jiten! After almost a week of festivities, the day of the wedding was a gorgeous sunny day in Hua Hin all set for a twilight wedding in middle of the infinity pool. Adam, Serge , Dwiko & Sasha were great to work with and we had a blast shooting stills and film with them. The mandap for the wedding was built on the pool and looked spectacular during sunset as the ceremony began. The day started with some remaining Garhi rituals from the night before and the morning ended with Jiten being thrown into the pool [ I have the Kodak moment ( Sasha & I were in the pool waiting for the moment ) - not being shared here ]. Baraat started with a Elephant and Jiten trying to get on the elephant - friends and family danced away - to the tunes being played from a mobile DJ booth - along the back corridor of the resort. Ceremony began at sundown and we witnessed a very gorgeous wedding while listening to the ocean waves. Fireworks and shoe bargaining marked the end of the ceremony and guests were shuttled over to Dusit for the reception [ to be blogged later ]! - The journey begins for Nisha & Jiten - wedding trailer/Same Day Edit coming soon!
Nisha & Jiten's mehndi, held in the lawn (at the Sheraton), was an out of the box event with a japanese theme - Floral Fujiyama. The mehndi was a journey through a Japanese garden with decorated cabanas. With shades of yellow, light green and orange, the decor, the props and the flowers made for a perfect mehndi on a gorgeous sunny afternoon in Hua Hin. Nisha's outfit was striking and made her stand out against the floral theme of the mehndi decor. Nisha walked in, with her family & friends, with a beautifully decorated parasol. Beautifully decorated cabanas were used to entertain guests with foot massages, hookah and mehndi corner. The event was very colorful with guests and family enjoying the dance numbers played by the DJ. With anticipation for the Sangeet night building up, the japanese mehndi was a perfect start to the wedding festivities for Nisha & Jiten.
A sneak peek into Kunal & Shradha's wedding story. Sid & I had an amazing time filming and photographing with Shradha and Kunal in Thailand. Their families and friends showed great hospitality and it was a priviledge for us to be a part of their wedding festivities and capture their memories. From the day Shradha and Kunal got in touch with us, we knew that capturing their wedding would be a lot of fun and will give us the creative edge we always want. Shradha's impeccable dresses, Mrs Bhagchandani's detailed planning and Kunal and his family's very warm and generous hosting made the entire shoot (days and nights) a lot more fun than it usually is. We started shooting at the Erawan shrine in Bangkok the first day and then went to Wat Arun on day two followed by various other locations and finally we ended up in Hua Hin. A big hug and thank you to Kunal and Shradha!..more to come soon..
Yes, we are back from Thailand ! It's been such an amazing experience & of course we couldn't wait to share some photos that we shot during the wedding extravaganza. This was a major photography/cinematography assignment and that made things a little hectic for us but nevertheless we made it all work & had a ton of fun with Shradha & Kunal and their family and friends. The first thing that got my attention was the culture of speaking so softly and politely. From whatever interaction I had at the hotel with the staff, I noticed everyone was always so warm/friendly and would generally bow to show respect. Of course, we never really knew what to do in return so we would just do the same. Later on we realized it wasn't necessary to do that with everyone. The wedding lasted 4 days and it was a Sindhi Wedding held at the Sheraton Blue Lagoon Resort in Hua Hin. Shradha and Kunal are based out of Dubai. Thus, this was their destination wedding and for us it became one of our favorite weddings to date. This stylish couple/wedding had every glamour and detail we were looking for in a destination wedding. From their invitation cards to their wish tree, everything was very tastefully done. And working with such an amazing couple made this wedding even more special. Both Kunal & Shradha are such a fun loving couple and it never ever felt like work around them (it was more fun than work..although humidity did not help) Destination indian weddings require very detailed planning and proper execution and especially in a place like Hua Hin- where sourcing last minute is always an issue. A lot of the decor pieces/center pieces/accents were flown in from dubai & that itself is quite a daunting task but everything from decor/flowers/lighting etc was arranged & co-ordinated by Mrs Rimjhim Bhagchandani (the mother of the bride), who is also a top event co-odinator in Dubai. Both Kunal and Shradha themselves took upon serious duties as they managed transport for all guests arriving from all over the globe to Bangkok as well take care of room allocations. I have not seen a more dedicated and detail oriented couple. Even with all the preps and planning, they were spending significant amount of time into filming their love story in Bangkok/Hua-Hin as well get getting daylight photos taken early in the morning after staying up all night from their reception.
